How do I find old macros?

Pretty basic question, I guess. Used to keep a big pack of homemade macros
for my work as a translator. Then Word failed me (as it will), and I
installed a newer version, with the result that all my macros had
disappeared. Does anybody have an idea of where to look for them?
Cheers.

Macros are stored in the templates.
Copy them from your previous Word installation.

The other possibility is, ugh!, was your old version pre-Word 97?

Make a seaarch for normal.dot (or *.dot) , if you can still find the old one
and was not overwritten by your installation.
