How do I generate a data dictionary in MS Project Server 2003?

We are training a group of fairly technical end users who would like to have
a data dictionary for MS Project Server 2003 so they can more intelligently
generate customized filters, tables, views and reports. So far we have not
found a way to generate this from Project Server. Any suggestions of where we
can locate the instructions for this?

Hello Jo,

You mentioned that you are looking to train users to generate
filters, views and reports. It sounds like your end users are MS
Project users. Is it correct? If so, you can refer MS Project 2003
Database schema. The URL is below:

MS Project 2003 Database Schema:

Otherwise, if you are looking for MS Project Server 2003 Schema, see
the link below:

Chak,
Thank you for your response. I have the schemas already and they are fine
for me, but my users find them to complicated. They would like to see a data
dictionary. One that lists each field with field properties and some kind of
description of the field.

Thanks!
Jo

Hi Jo,

There is no such facility available in Project Server 2003. If you
want to have, you have to do it manually. Just though, the best way
to handle this situtaion is include all screenshots in MS Word/PDF
from MS Project Task and Resource tables and columns.

(On MS Project -> View menu -> Table -> More Tables -> Choose Task)

(On MS Project -> View menu -> Table -> More Tables -> Choose
Resource)

Thanks
