How Do I Get A Blank Document?

S

Scott

I'm using Word 2002. Whenever I open it, the previous saved Word document
is displayed. So I have to hit File/Close/New/Blank Document. Is there a
way to set it up so everytime I open Word, there's a blank document displayed?

Thanks!

This strongly implies you are saving your documents as templates. One
way to test this is to rename normal.dot to some other name and then
open Word. It should build a new default normal.dot which will open
with a blank document.

The usual reason this happens is you are opening normal.dot instead of
opening a doc file based on that template.
