how do I get a local to help me with word

I am trying to use word 2000 and being a bit of a dumb dumb oldie, I am
unable to get to the next page by using the symbol at the bottom. Why? pls
help. I am not a word proficiient person. Regards Sue B-W

Not quite sure what "symbol at the bottom" you are refering to. If it is
the "Next page" double down arrow, just click on it. Or you can press
the "Page Down" key on the keyboard. If you are on the last page of the
document you can get to "the next page" because it doesn't exist. In
that case press the down and right arrow keys to move the cursor to the
end of the document and then press enter to get another page added.
