How do I get an information bar on Explorer to download ActiveX?

When I try to update, I always get asked to download ActiveX. The
instructions say right click on the information bar in Explorer. I can't
find an information bar in Explorer. I do have a Google bar. Perhaps this
is the problem... I'm using version 6.0 of Explorer. Can anyone help?

When asked to download, look for a yellow bar at the top of Internet
Explorer.
