How do I get Excel to format a font as an "Outline" like Word?

You may want to check with the folks in the Excel
newsgroup (link below) but one method would be
to install an outline font for use outside of Word.

You can copy outlined text from Word and use
Edit=>Paste Special in Excel and paste it as a picture,
but that limits your editing ability a bit.
