I upgraded my computer from Windows Millenium to Windows XP. Now I can not
get Microsoft Office 97 to install on the computer. It runs OK from the CD.

After you upgraded to Windows XP, did you also install Windows XP SP2 before
you tried to install Office 97? If so, try uninstalling WinXP SP2,
installing Office 97 and Office 97 service packs, and reinstalling WinXP SP2.
