How do I get Outlook to remember my settings?

I want to leave emails on the server but outlook will not keep that setting.
I checke the box over and over again but it will not remember What do I
do??

Do you have trouble saving any other settings on your computer? If you
recreate that mail account on your machine, does it work then?

My new computer seems to remember other settings and passwords. I tried
redoing the mail server and checking the box to leave mail on server but
after rebooting the box was unchecked. Back to sq one any other
suggestions??

When you say 'tried redoing the mail server', did you remove the account and
add a new one or just clear the fields in the account and re-enter them?
