How do I get rid of 4 paragraph symbols when I open Outlook Word?

Every time I start a new HTML document in Outlook, which defaults to word, I
get 4 paragraph symbols and a little circle - I tried to change my stationary
and even with it on none - it still opens up with this 4 paragraph symbols.
