How do I group/ungroup/regroup clip art in Word 2002?

It's so easy in Word 97--just double click on the clip art and do whatever
adjusting you want. But, in Word 2002, clip art that I know I could do this
with is suddenly untouchable. (I tested this with a specific pic I had used
in the past.) I can change colors and whatnot, but I can't group/ungroup all
the components of the clip art in one fell swoop--I have to do it piece by
piece. Is there something I'm missing? I used to be a whiz at this!

I use the Disassemble Picture command from Tools/Customize/Commands, Drawing
category.
