How do I import a picture into a template

I work for an Emergency Service. I have created a template in Word which I
will need to lock before it is used and the other employees will need to
import images from a scanner and a camera. Is that possible? Thanks for your
help in advance.

1) What do you mean by 'lock' ? Users create documents from your template --
there's nothing much you can do (with Word) to control what they do with
those documents.

2) Importing scanned and camera images is the same for Emergency Services
documents as for any other kind. Explore the Insert menu.

By "lock" I mean protected the document from the forms toolbar. This template
contains form fields and option buttons. I need to be able to scan a signed
document into this form after it is protected. I am obviously new to creating
documents that are this in depth so I really do appreciate all your help.

Divide the form into sections. Put the 'image' area into its own section.
Leave that section unprotected.
