How do I import a PST file

I have an old PST file that I am trying to import into Outlook 2k but I get
the following message "Properties for this service must be defined prior to
use". So what does thimean? I can't find this procedure anywhere. How do I
go about getting into my old files?

Why would you import a PST file? PST is Outlook's native format. Just open
the file.
If you can't do that, then list the steps you used to corrupt this file so
we can determine if it can be fixed.
