How do I import an appointment that was emailed into Outlook 2000

How do I import emailed appointments into Outlook 2000. These appointments were emailed out of another Outlook 2000 and are going to hopefully be imported into Outlook 2000 so there shouldn't be a version issue. However when opening the email, I can view the attachement just like an outlook appointment. However I cannot save it into my calendar. What am I missing?
