I have got a Word document that I would like to convert into an Access

Try saving it as a .txt file and use the "Get external data" feature in
Access. Under Files of Type select the text file option. This might work.

If your Word document is a table, you can create a blank table within
Access with the same number of columns, then you can simply COPY form
Word (the entire table) and PASTE-APPEND to the Access table.
