Hi =?Utf-8?B?amRvd2xleQ==?=,
Word 2003 : Inserting a piece of clip art or pic on a label in the (insert
merge field process) then update labels; labels look good; then do the merge
and the clip art moves out of position on some of the labels. How do I "fix"
the position of the clip art on the label?
I'm guessing that the ClipArt is not formatted to "Move with text", or that the
text to which it is anchored is re-positioned (more or less text creating new
lines?)
1. Set the vertical alignment (Tables toolbar) in the table cells to "Top".
(Anchoring a clipart in a table cell will turn this off, anyway, but you could
be running into some kind of conflict)
2. Make sure "object anchors" is activated in Tools/Options/View. Now click on
the Clipart in the first label and look for a black anchor, somewhere in the
left margin. Make sure it's next to a paragraph that will always be at the top
of the label.
3. Right-click the Clipart, go into the Formatting dialog box,
Layout/Advanced/Picture position. Make sure "Move object with text" and "Lock
Anchor" are activated.
Now try propagating the labels again and see if things are any better.
