How do I keep text from moving when I add a picture?

How do I keep text from moving when I add a picture? I know it's possible
because I have done it before, no doubt by accident, on a different flyer.
All I want to do is place a small picture from file between two words.

P.S. Please keep any responses as non-technical as possible as I am
computer semi-illiterate.

Click on picture, go to "text wrapping" on picture toolbar, select "none".

Select the text box, click the dog icon on the picture toolbar, click none.
Select the object, click the dog icon, click tight. You can specify how close
you want the text by right-clicking the object, format object, layout tab.
