How do I keep the endnotes at the end of each chapter?

I am attempting to write a thesis with millions of endnotes. I would
like to keep the footnotes at the end of each chapter, but continue
the numbering system throughout the chapters. Is there a way to do
this? I tried making section breaks, but the footnotes carry over to
the very end of the document (as one would expect, I suppose, since I
indicated that they should be at the end of the document. I just
didn't mean at the VERY end, but at the end of each chapter!) Thank
you wonderful googlegroups community!!!!!

What version of Word are you using? I rarely use footnotes, but I just
checked in Word 2004, and the Endnotes options let you choose "End of
Document" or "End of Section."

Just to let you know, referring to all of Usenet as "Google Groups"
is fightin' words. :)
