How do I link a document from our network to an outlook contact?

Christi

We are using Outlook 2003 and I would like to link documents which are
maintained on our server to contacts in Outlook. For obvious reasons, I do
not want to duplicate the documents and I would like to be able to edit them
from both the server and from Outlook. I cannot seem to find a way to
accomplish this. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Open the Contact. Place your cursor in the white notes area. Then Insert|
file | select the file (single click) | Insert as Hyperlink. That makes a
link to the actual file you browsed to.

You can do this with Tasks, Meetings and Contacts.
