How do i make changes in the document which is scanned

I have scanned a document. Now i want to alter or make some changes in that
scanned document. Can you help me out. What do i need to do to change it

I assume you've scanned it as an image instead of using OCR software, which
would scan it as text. You really can't alter it very easily with Word. You
should use a graphics program instead. However, with a lot of patience, you
may be able to "cover it up" using Office drawing tools.
