How do I manage project reporting in outlook?

I have been looking for a simple project reporting template or add in for
outlook.
It is possible to use the task function but it doesn't do enough.
A project may have many task, idea and note that could be link to a schedule
or a reminder.
Also sub project could be subordinate to top level project and we should be
able to use simple link with the project to recall task and such.

It would be great if I have that.
