how do I open documents created in publisher on my Ipaq 2495

I cannot open a document created in publisher 2002 on my Ipaq 2495. I get a
message that tells me to run the application first. What does this mean? I
can open a document created with Word.

I don't think the there is a mobile version of Publisher. At least I've
never heard of one.

That means that your Ipaq has no idea what application opens .pub files,
so tells you to open the application that opens such files and open it
from within there. Unfortunately, the application in question doesn't
exist, so you're not going to have much luck.

You can open documents created with word because Microsoft has released
a version of Word for Pocket PC. It's called Pocket Word.

As JoAnn observes, there is no Pocket Publisher, so opening .pub files
on an Ipaq isn't going to happen. Which, in my not-so-humble opinion, is
just as it should be.

Sounds like you and I agree. I can't see why anyone would want to try DTP on
a teeny, tiny screen. If you just want to view it, ask them to send you a
..pdf file.
