How do I open files from a different version?

I have Publisher 2000 and would like to open files from Publisher 2003. I do
not have Norton anti-virus or any script blocking software. Please advise.

Norton and script blocking software is a red herring and is
irrelavent.

Have the person with Publisher 2003, save the files as File
type: "Publisher 2000 (*.pub)"
