how do i paste in word?

When I do a copy and paste into Word it never shows up. The cursor
disappears for a couple of seconds and then comes back blinking. It is just
with pictures. Never text. Can you help me? Thanks.

Instead of simply "pasting" into Word, try clicking the "Edit" menu,
selecting "Paste Special" and selecting one of the options that works for
what you are copying.
