I am using XP and was thrilled to enable Russian. However, I would love a
keyboard layout template.

Will a paper copy of the OnScreen Keyboard do the trick? PrintScreen,
Paste, Crop, and Print.

1) Both Russian layouts shipped with Windows can be looked at
(and printed out) here:

http://www.microsoft.com/globaldev/reference/keyboards.aspx

2) Most of people living outside Russia, do NOT use that standard
layout - we like to type in Russian (with "RU" in taskbar)
the same way we type in English (with "EN" in taskbar):

- get letter 'A' by presing button with 'A' drawn on it
- O-O, T-T, K-K, ....

Especially because we do not have such physical keyboards that people
in Russia have - with Russian letters drwan on the side of the
buttons...

This way of typing Russian is called 'phonetic' (homophonic)
layout and can be setup in 10 minutes (one-time job) -
please see "How to type in Russian on any keyboard" section on my site
at http://RusWin.net
