how do i put my office program on my new computer

my old computer crashed and i want to put office xp on my new computer. can i
use my office program i already have or do i need to buy a new program

If you have an OEM copy of Office XP that came preinstalled on
your old computer by the computer manufacturer, then you cannot
legally transfer the software to your new computer because the
OEM license dies with the computer that the software came with.

If you have a retail copy of Office XP that you purchased
separately from your old computer, then you can install the
software on your new computer.
