how do I put words like spokes of a wheel?

I need to create a circle like a clock with words as spokes (think wheel of
fortune). I tried to do it with a pie chart but can't put the words in the
individual pie pieces. Any ideas? I need this for a major project. Please
help!

Create the individual text elements using Word Art . There is a rotation
tool.

If you have Office 2002 or 2003, you might try doing this in Powerpoint.
Create a pie, and superimpose text boxes with no border and no fill
over the pie. Rotate each text box to the desired orientation by
dragging the green dot handle.
