Might think about sending as a PDF. There are free converters, this is one:

Do a web search to find others.

Is this a Publisher 2000 document? Many common picture file formats, such as JPEG or
TIFF, create highly compressed picture files. However, the format that Publisher 2000
uses to store embedded or linked pictures in publications is not compatible with file
compression.

As a result, when you insert a picture into a publication, the file size of the
picture that you inserted into the publication may be much larger than the file size
of the original compressed picture file.

Did you do some deleting when creating your publication?

Upon taking over my local mag years ago, I learned that the publisher files
were on average 200-300MB with quite a deal of that taken up with bmp files.
Upon changing them to jpgs and upon the use of Acrobat Writer, files size was
reduced to 5-8MB. When I left as editor at the beginning of the year, file
size was around 3MB. A few simple graphics changes and writing to pdf made a
world of difference. It was only a local rag and images didn't need the high
resolution, so it worked out just fine.
