how do i remove box around clip art

how do i paste just the picture subject and not the background of a picture
from clip art? trying to remove the box that comes up around it.

If the clipart is .wmf the box is transparent, but if you must remove it, select the
clipart, arrange, ungroup.(You may have to ungroup twice). If the clips are bitmaps,
use the transparency tool on the picture toolbar to make the background transparent.
