How do I rotate a scanned picture in Word 2000?

I am trying to place a scanned handwritten message into a word 2000 document.
Since I am trying to print on a custom size paper, I want to rotate the
message so that it will print on the card stock appropriately. Any
suggestions? thanks

If the image is inserted in a layout option other than in-line you should be
able to rotate it
