How do I save a document onto a disk?

How are you trying to do this?
What exactly are you trying to save to?
I presume you're using Word, right?
Can you save any other files, or file types, to your diskette (I presume
that's what you mean)?
What version of Windows & Office?
Etc?

In addition, you also don't say what application you are using ... I
presume Word. Even if the laptop "disc" (floppy, CD, hard disk?) is
working, it's normally a very bad idea to save direct from Word onto a
floppy disk. SAve to hard disk, then copy to the floppy disks.
