how do i set non-working months?

I am creating a schedule for heavy construction. Because work stops during
the winter months, I want to set Jan, Feb, & Mar, as non-working time. I
cannot find a way to do this, other than building in lag time.

This isn't how I want to do it, because if I make changes to the schedule, I
always have to review the impact around those months.

Anyone know how I can set certain months as non-working time?

Hi,

Under Tools, Change Working time Click New
Name this Calendar Winter Shut Down
Now set your shut down days to nonworking

For resources that won't work during these months:
Select View, Resource Sheet
Set their base calendar to your new calendar. None of their work will now
happen on the non-working days in your new calendar.

For tasks that won't happen:
Select all tasks that need to stop in these months:
Click the Task Information icon (or shift+F2)
Click Advanced
Set the Calendar to your new Calendar.

This way you get to put on hold resources and tasks but can still work on
tasks unaffected by weather (design, consent approval etc.)
