How do I set up a password in a computer?

I bought a computer and I want to have a window poping up asking for a
password every time I log in. At present it logs in straight away.

Hi, Monica....you've posted this in a group for MS Outlook issues. I suggest
you post in a group for your operating system. I'm presuming you're on
Windows XP, so you might try microsoft.public.windowsxp.general ....and
mention whether you use Pro or Home.

Also, you might want to consider using a newsreader like Outlook Express or
Forte Agent rather than the web interface to the newsgroups - it's a lot
easier to do nearly everything there, including searching, which is always a
good idea to do before you post, as well as mark messages to be watched, and
filter based on replies to your posts.

The Microsoft public news server is news.microsoft.com and you can subscribe
to as many groups as you like.
