I would like to set up a simple question and answer sheet template to be used
again and again, without having to delete lines a blank text every time or
reformat the page / text. Is their a simple way?
Not only is there a simple way, but this is how templates are
*supposed to be* used.
Open the unused sheet. Go to File > Save As. Open the "Save as type"
dropdown at the bottom, and set it to "Document template (*.dot)".
Word will automatically switch to the Templates folder and supply a
..dot extension. Give the template a different name if you want, but
keep the .dot extension. Now you can close the template.
Each time you want to use the answer sheet, go to File > New. In
versions of Word up to 2000, you get a dialog that shows the available
templates to choose from. In Word 2002 or 2003, you get the New
Document task pane, where you can choose the template from the
recently-used list if it's there, or click "On my computer" to go to
the dialog and choose it.
The new document will look like a copy of the template. You can fill
it in, print it, save it, etc. without affecting anything in the
template.
