How do I set up file history to show more than 50 files?

I'm finding that I use File/Open/History more and more often. It would help
to be able to see a file history of 100 or 200 recently used files. Is that
possible, and if so, how do I set it up? Also, the history shows folders.
Can I customize it to only show files?
