I've downloaded and run sounds.exe but no sounds and I can't find any menu
items on any Office program in Office Professional 2003 dealing with it. I've
missed something?

In Word Tool=>Options=>General be sure the 'provide feedback with sounds' choice is turned on. You can test and select individual
sounds through the Sounds applet in the Windows control panel.
