how do i silhouette pictures

i want to use a picture as a background with text on it. how do i get rid of
the text box area that is cut out?

Are you saying you want the text inside the silhouette or do you want the text to
wrap around the silhouette? If it is the latter select the image, click the dog icon
on the picture toolbar, click edit wrap points, click the dog icon again, click
whatever wrap you want.

I wanted the text inside the picture with the picture in the background. iI
do not know how I did it but I got it to work. I simply made my picture a
washout and I placed a text box inside the picture and typed in it. When I
did that the first time it kept leaving white around the letters. But it did
work this time.
