How do I stop Outlook and Word from starting every new line with .

There is no doubt a simple solution to this, but I cant find it. Every new
line in Outlook and Word starts with a capital letter, which I dont want, and
subsequently have to change.

Can anyone advise how to switch this off?

Thanks, but I've switched off autocorrect completely, and it still
capitalizes the first letter of every line..

Check the settings in "AutoFormat" also. Sounds like you haven't
actually switched it off.
