How do I stop words splitting when using columns?

I'm trying to type a newspaper article that is easy for my students to read.
How do I stop words from splitting up so if there's not room for the whole
word in the column it automatically moves to the next line?

For the current text box: Tools > Language > Hyphenation

For all new text boxes: Tools > Options
