how do i transfer files in 2003 floppy to memory stick

I just bought a laptop and I want to transfer files that are in a floppy to a
memory stick the library computer will not recognize open dialogy letter F
and will not recognize letter E either even though file in stick is
convertedto old office and windows

It doesn't matter what drive letter is used to map the memory stick - once
it's mapped you should be able to use it just like a floppy or external
drive. What you need to do is copy the files to the HD of your laptop and
then transfer them to a memory stick.

Also, the memory stick is just a storage device. I'm not sure what you mean
by "converted to old office and windows".

Sounds library has configured the PC not to read thumb drives.
But your message is hard to read without punctuations.
You could email the files to yourself and transfer to drive at home
best wishes

That's not unusual. Our local library will not allow you to bring in
"foreign" floppies. The only floppies they allow are the ones that stay
there. If you are using their computer for job hunting, your resume is kept
on your floppy and they store it there.
