How would I translate English words or a text into Spanish? I have Office 2000

Online internet translators tend to convert on a word to word basis..
sometimes the meaning can be lost or misinterpreted..
Do a Google search for online translators and pick the one that you feel is
most accurate.. if you convert phrases from English to Spanish, convert them
back to English first, just to make sure that you do not offend anybody..
you may think that this procedure will produce the same English phrase as
you started with.. it doesn't..
The best plan is to do what JoAnn has suggested..

I've found the online translators to be a bit lacking. They are okay for the
basics but, on the whole, don't do a very good job. If it's important enough
to need to be translated, then it should be important enough to do it
properly - and that requires the human touch.
Besides, in the city where I live, there are thousands of people who are
bilingual and could probably use the extra money for a job like this.

Point taken and I quite agree.
Nobody in the place I live speaks Spanish (AFAIK), though I don't know
all 200 people.
