I have an older system and I need to view a document for school. I would
update my software if I could afford to, I would buy a new computer if I
could afford to none of the viewers are compatable with my system running
Windows 98.

In Addition to Jeff's answer, you should be able to open
a MS Word document for editing in MS Windows Wordpad
(Start=>Programs=>Accessories) or if you have MS Works Suite 2000
you should also have MS Word 2000 available.

If you only need to view the document then the Viewer would
likely preserve the most features when displaying the document.
