How do save a clipboard for later use?

I am doing large amounts of data input and i would find it very useful if i
could save a clipboard so i could open it when i start work instead of having
to copy all the things i need back into it.

Thanks very much..

I don't know of any way to make the clipboard data persistent. If the
data is text, you could open Word and paste it there and the next time
you need it, reopen the Word file and copy it back.

This is not really a Microsoft Office question

However, I can answer your question.

You need to run the Clipboard Viewer accessory.

To start the Clipboard Viewer accessory, click on Start (a.k.a. the Start Menu) -> Programs (or All
Programs) ->
Accessories -> Clipboard Viewer

Click File -> Save As...

If you need that clipboard entry again, just run the Clipboard Viewer and choose File -> Open... to open it
again.

Then use Ctrl+V (OR Edit -> Paste OR right click -> Paste) in any program to use it.
