Review the attachment.
1. How do we remove the icon "This Assignment work has been edited" ?
2. Usually What is this means ? Is it means, I manually changed some
data ?
3. How do we drill down to the location, where it has been edited ?
thanks

This happens when someone has changed the spread of work hours for a resource
assigned to a task on either the resource usage or task usage views. For
example, Microsoft Project normally assigns work as 8 hours/day. So a 5 day
task is listed as 8-8-8-8-8. If you manually change the distribution of the
work (in the right side of either of these views) you might enter something
like 8-8-10-6-8. The work has been edited.

This is how the icon appears and cannot be removed unless the work is the
leveled.
You can hide the column and nothing will show. To hide the column, right
click on the column header and select "hide column"

Thanks for responding to my question. Somewhat it is helpful, but stil
I need some clarifications
This is how the icon appears and cannot be removed unless the work i th
leveled

What you mean by "the work is the leveled".
How do I do that. I removed the resource and assigned the new resource
with no over allocation, that resolved this issue. Is that waht yo
mean
re 1: why
I would have manually altered, but changed my mind, go back to syste
provided allocation
That is the reason, why I am curious to know and also for my own bette
understanding

BTW
Even the task split with no manual edit, I could see this icon appear
on the left side.
What is this means ? Could you explain

Thank

I think what you are really asking is how to remove the ICON from the
Resource Usage or Task Usage view. Right click the task and select
Assignment Information. Then in the Work Contour box select Flat. The icon
will disappear as will the message.

I forgot to answer the rest of the question... This can be caused several
ways. If you manyally enter hours of Work, Actual Work or Remaining Work in
the time-phased portion on the Resource Usage view or the Task Usage view,
then it considers the work to be Contoured and will set the icon. If you use
a time reporting system that populates the time phased data, you will get the
same effect when people enter their time. The icon does not hurt anything,
it just indicates that the work is distributed differently than originally
calculated.
