How do you download an online PP template to an existing file?

When downloading an online template into an existing PowerPoint presentation,
the download becomes a new document rather than a new slide in the existing
presentation. Is there any way to download a template to an existing
presentation rather than creating a whole new document?

Download your template, and save it as a template file (.pot) then open your
presentation and apply the template you saved.

Momtoryan,
Save the downloaded template in the templates folder (C:\Documents and
Settings\Your name\Application Data\Microsoft\Templates). See here for
instructions on locating and storing your templates:

Once you saved it, you can apply it to any presentation be it on selected
slides be it on the whole presentation using the little arrow next to the
template in the templates task pane. Once you applied it to one presentation
it should appear in the task pane.
