How do you dynamically link word forms to an excel spreadsheet?

Q

query from MN

I wish to link many Word forms (the same form, same fields - different data)
into one Excel spreadsheet such that each Word form links to one row in the
Excel spreadsheet for more thorough analysis of the data on the Word forms.
Each field in the Word form will occupy one cell in the Excel row. Any help
would be great.

No code written...since I have no knowledge of programming I was hoping to
use something more intuitive - such as functionality inherent in the Macro
functions of Word and Excel. I have a form template in which I thought I'd
have to attach a macro such that all subsequent related uses of this form
would also have the same macro attached. I have begun experimenting with
macros, recording procedures and such but it is not going along well. I am
not able to push data from the Word forms to my one Excel spreadsheet.

Depending upon what sort of Form you are taking about, it might be better to
do it all in Excel. However for some information concerning Word forms, see
