How do you format numbers within a document?

B

I want to be able to enter numbers in a word document, and be able to format
them as to commas; e.g. 10,256,312 instead of 10256312. I do not want to
import excel or to use word tables.

Any ideas?

Type the following: 10,256,312

IOW, in Word you need to type the format you want to see. You can only
utilize a number format for certain Word fields and Word tables does
not allow you to format numbers as you can in Excel.
