How do you insert part of another file?

How do you insert part of another file which automatically updates the
changes in that another file?
I tried to use Insert-File but it only inserts the current text of
another file.

In the source file, if you don't want to include all the text, mark
the part that you want with a bookmark.

In the target file, choose Insert>File. In the Insert File dialog box,
select the desired file, click the Range button to specify the name of
the bookmark in the source file, and then click the arrow on the
Insert button and choose to "Insert as link", and you'll get an
INCLUDETEXT field which can be updated to show the current contents of
the referenced file.

Generally, you can update all fields in a document by selecting the
document content and then press F9. Note also that many fields update
automatically on file open or when you choose File>Print Preview.
