how do you save webpage to web domain?

I've followed the help link, but it seems to fall down when it tries to save
the index file. Can anyone help a frustrated user please?

This is how I do it with Publisher 2000

Create a website with Publisher, Save it as a web page and then using a ftp
(file transfer program) upload the html file/s and the image files. Leave
the pub file on your computer for future editing.

I have publisher 2003 - and apparantly, it is not as easy as it used to be.
I am wondering now whether there is a way of transfering my work into
another format, so I can easily upload it.
Any ideas?

had read from help link in publisher. I have scanned the site and cannot find
an answer.
Is it a facility that just doesn't work in xp publisher 2003. If it is fine
- i'll find another way... but I would like to know if there is another way

what exactly is your question or issue... Do you not know how to publish
your web? Do you not understand the directions you find? Are you following

Chill man! David isn't being rude, he just doesn't have a crystal ball to
help him figure out where and how you are having problems publishing your
site without more detail. Perhaps you should read his questions again if you
want help. In the meantime go back to:
http://www.publishermvps.com/WebDesign/Version2003/tabid/33/Default.aspx
and read the 4 articles David wrote about publishing your site. Then read
the FAQ about publishing your site. Then read the articles that are
certainly provided by your webhost about publishing your site. If you still
can't figure it out after doing all this, then you will at least be able to
come back with the detail needed to help you.

I had the same problem trying to work out the differences between Pub 2000 &
Pub 2003 but managed to sort it out eventually by following the help
instructions as best I could then contacting my ISP with specifics about the
problems I experienced. (MSN helpers aren't very good at replying with words
of one syllable for those of us who struggle with new technology)
Here's what I do:
1. Choose 'Publish to folder'. This creates an 'index_files' and an 'HTML
document' in a chosen location on your own pc.
2. Open up the fttp\ users location on my ISP's server where my web pages
are stored (your ISP should be able to give you this if you don't already
know it)
3. Click and drag the 'index_files' and 'HTML document'. (You MUST copy both
over)

This may not suit you but it's worth a try and you don't need any FTP
software.
