You need to read the EULA for your specific version of Office. Open one of
the applications, go to Help|About, and click the link to view the end user
license agreement.
You can also find them online at

That page also says, "If you acquired a Microsoft Office System product
preinstalled on a new computer, please contact the manufacturer of your
computer for information on the EULA that applies to your Microsoft Office
System product." That sentence is under a section labeled Pre-Installed
Trial Versions, but it should just say "Pre-Installed Versions," as it
applies to more than just Trial installations.
