How not to paste into a new text box every time.

I have just installed Publisher 2003 and every time I try to paste into my
text box, it puts the copied text into a new text box inside of my old text
box. How do I paste into my selected text box?

Edit|Paste Special - select unformatted text.

(It is a bit of a pain, isn't it?)
